RE : Implementation of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Advance Manifest Requirement with Effect from 13 Aug 2004

We would like to inform of the implementation of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Advance Manifest Requirements with Effect from 13 Aug 2004 for all shipments that are exported/transited via United States. With this implementation, cargo details have to be submitted to the US Customs via electronic means, at least 4 hours before flight arrival into United States.

In compliance to the US Customs Requirements, Airlines have necessitated an Automated Manifest Submission (AMS) Fee of USD10.00 per HAWB (or higher) for all US bound shipments. AMS Fees incurred would be debited to your organization accordingly to the airlines' prevailing tariff imposed. With this notification, we hope that you could inform your business associates and partners accordingly, and to allow for the required adjustments to be made to your shipping needs.
