Dear Sirs / Madams,

As from 19th of April, 2004, 24 hours rule for cargo to Canada and
cargo to USA via Canada will be implemented. This Canadian 24 hours
rule is similar to the USA 24hours rule that has been applied.

In order to comply with the regulation, you are kindly requested:

- To supply us shipping details for cargo to US and Canada latest on
the day the vessel sails from HCMC. With your late supply, we are not
able to complete manifest on time for transhipment;

- To supply accurrate shipping declaration, including the following
details:

+ A precise description (or the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
numbers to the 6-digit level under which cargo is classified), and
weight of the cargo or, for a sealed container, the shipper's declared
description and weight of the cargo. Cargo description as " FAK -
freight all kinds", " General Cargo", and "STC - said to contain" is
not acceptable;
+ The numbers and quantities from the B/L must be the lowest external
packing units. Declaration as "item", "set" or " pallet" is not
accepted;
+ Complete name and address of shipper;
+ Complete name and address of consignee or the owner or owner's
representative. Consignee must be the party located in the
destination country with valid address.
For "To order " and " To order of bank" B/L, notify party must be the
ultimate consignee and they have a valid address in the destination
country.
+ Internationally recognized hazardous material code when such
materials are being shipped;
+ Container number and the seals number for all seals affixed to
containers.

As amendment to the manifest may incur huge fine by the customs, we
would like to bring the above informations to your kind attention.
